VIOLA - Original work Deviser/Stage Director Premiering 27th May 2019 with Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival!
Viola is a solo-aerial theatre performance that explores the emotional journey through identity, belonging, and gender. Reimagining Shakespeare’s Twelfth Nightwith the psychology of self-discovery and rediscovery, Viola interweaves Shakespeare’s original text with aerial performance (Silks and Corde Lisse) and floor acrobatics to illuminate the inner questions and turmoil of Shakespeare’s most vibrant heroine. Created by Director/Writer Charlotte McKechnie and Choreographer/Aerialist Adam Wright, Viola represents a radical, darker reimagining of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy, using breathtaking physicality and transfixing soundscape.

CABILDO - Amy Beach Stage Director/Producer 20th November 2018, Cottier Theatre (Glasgow) 22nd June 2018, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow)
Amy Beach’s Cabildo (1932) takes audiences on an enchanting journey that entwines pirates with state power, and classical music with New Orleans Creole. Cabildo (1932) recounts the miraculous escape of Pierre LaFitte, an imprisoned pirate seeking to liberate New Orleans from British colonial rule during the War of 1812. Scored for five singers, speaker, and piano trio, Cabildo blends late Romanticism and Creole folk music in a fresh and vibrant harmonic medley.
